The Canadian Association for Blacks Health and Safety Professionals (CABHSP) was officially founded in 2021 by Mohammed Hassan, Charles Agunbiade, and Robert Butchike with a mission to ensure the health, safety, and workforce reintegration of Blacks and racialized professionals in Canada.
With a combined over 29 years of industry experience, our founders bring expertise in occupational health and safety, workplace mental health, and anti-racism advocacy. Their life experiences as immigrants and mental health survivors fuel CABHSP’s commitment to supporting Blacks and racialized workers facing workplace discrimination, psycho-social hazards, and employment barriers.
Under their leadership, CABHSP has grown into a recognized non-profit organization, securing grants and leading impactful projects that provide education, mentorship, mental health support, and employment resources. Their work continues to create inclusive workplaces and empower marginalized communities across Canada.
